"Locate the military compound on the west mountain of Himfjäll"

Unfinished Investigation is an Alpine Unrest DLC side mission in Generation Zero.

Local reporter Monika Byström had come to be renowned for her hard-hitting, uncompromising articles, and had recently started investigating a Fredrik Holberg, a high-ranking military official of whom little is know to the public.
Her sources converge towards a military compound located on the western mountain of Himfjäll. Is there anything left there to discover about what happened?

Walkthrough[]

  • Locate the military compound on the west mountain of Himfjäll
  • Find a way into the military compound
(There are three ways to enter: If the player has the Lockpicking skill(Tech right, 2nd skill), the door to the compound on the east side can be picked. If not, there's a pile of crates to the left, which can climbed. A pile of sandbags to the right of the door can also be climbed.)

Mission Items[]

Investigation piece in local newspaper

This article, dated from October 18th, is provocatively titled: "HIMFJÄLL: SWEDEN'S DARK SIDE?".

Monika Byström claims to be in possession of a number of shipment manifests between the IGA industrial facility and a large readiness storage located on Hammarstöten, the western mountain on Himfjäll. She doesn't draw definite conclusions nor incriminate the Swedish military or IGA without evidence as to the contents of those shipments.

Fuel cell

A fuel cell developed at the IGA industrial facility. This seems to be the same model as the ones the combat machines are equipped with.

Decrypted Morse code message

A transmission in Morse code has been received on this station:
"TO: YELLOW REINDEER. FINAL PREPARATIONS UNDERWAY. GROUND DEPLOYMENT ON SWEDISH SOIL GREEN-LIT. UNTIL THEN, STAY SAFE."
